Default dirty muffler

my muffler on my cat back is dirty and cruddy.. is there any way to get that 'brand spankin new' luster and shine back?

a toothbrush, some rags, and some mag/alum polish.. and an hour

hell yeah, i've tryed it! You'll gets hella dirty from it, so wear some gloves. i used "simple green", some rags, and a Whole Lot of elbow grease. i didnt even bother polishing it. i got to tired of cleaning all that time. but all in all it was cool. heck it got grimmy again within a week or 2 though........ (next time i think i will use some alum. polish.)

Why don't you just clean the part that people will see (rear)? Don't bother with the unseen portion of it. Heck while you're under there, you can clean the gas tank, control arms, brake lines.... :chuckles:

you can see the control arms. hehhe i was gonna sand blast mine and coat em for some added bling when i did my suspension...then i realized i didn't care

To clean the outside, I use rims cleaner and to clean the inside lol I use a paper towel tuber with a small rag attached to it

mother's powerball. Good for rims too. Attaches to drill and polishes the hell outta just about anything.

I use car soap, little bit of elbow grease, some Simple Green, rinse it off, then use metal polish. The metal polish will help keep future dirt and grime off.
