when i shift my car fast i hear a loud thud uderneath my car and sometimes i just hear it when im driving any ideas

 

probably cv joint.

 

dont make fun but what is a cv joint and what does it do and is it easyly replaced

 

what else would cause A THUD underneath my car

 

shifter hitting something.. maybe ur exhaust or a hanger.. did you go under the car and check to see if anything looks wrong?

 

i checked at first i thought it was motor knocking casue it started when i was driving in some heavy rain but i looked and it wasnt my motor and the only thing thAT looked alil loose was my shifter assembly cause of the bushings are old seems like, everything else is fine sometimes when i turn hard right when im going like 15 mph it makes the noise as well

 

well then change ur shifter bushings and make sure you lube them good

 

is that the only thing?
