Buy an older civic, swap in the k20, an aftermarket lsd and be done with it. Better handling, better looks, cheaper price, faster car.

You guys need to be reading more Honda magazines It's been said the K20 is going into the Civic for a couple months. Now I wonder what the RSX is going to get then. Does this mean the Type R is coming?

Some people want to buy new with a warrenty unlike some of us. And EP3 looks better? Your own opinion.

Type R will never be back.

People would not pay for a Type R when you get almost the same from the RSX or Civic Si. Just like what they did with the TSX and Accord. Why would people pay more for the TSX when they can get something better in the Accord.

 

I agree. I mean how much more powerful is the Type-R anyways? 20HP or so? Sure nicer suspension, but would it be worth the price difference? If you can afford one w/o a money issue and they did have a Us version, than good for you.

Overall, I'm glad that they upped the HP on the Si, the 160HP was getting kind of old, especially when it still came like that with the k20. As far as the looks.... come on guys, that argument can never be ended as there are people that love the minivan look, and some that hated it. I have to admit it, I hated the last taillight change on the latest hatch Si,... too altezza looking. But I love the fact that it's back in a coupe. But again that's back to an argurment that will never end due to it being a personal preference. Jesus, though the whole weight this,.... weight that... who cares! If you want to brag you can take out an expensive car with you cheaper engineswapped car, than cool. Some people don't want to fix up the car, and rather have a decent car that is stock. Remember how people first stated that the 6th Gen Si wasn't worth it since it was heavier than the other hatches? But they still kept their value compared to the new 7th Gen Si hatches where some dealers dropped the prices to get rid of them. Some will buy the 06 Si, because.... they like the way it looks compared to other cars regardless of HP, price, or whatever. I'd buy the new Si if I had the money, and I still wouldn't sell my Ferio, since I love the 5th Gen Sedans... just because. I think honda will sell more if thie Si than the last Si regardless of looks. If I'm wrong, then bring back this post 6 months after it comes out.

I love the 5th and 6th gen. After 2000 Honda did fall off on there civics. It's just something your gonna have to get used to. In another 2 years all we will be talking about is 2001+ civics getting K swaps in them.

They should just come back with the 99-00 Si. That would make everybody happy. The casual Civic and hardcores alike. Hell I can't find one for sale that is stock...they didn't make enough of those to begin with.
