Default tail lights

i got a set of altezza tail lights when i first got my 92 hatch (dont ask me why). anyways, now im really starting to dislike them. the other day while i was walking over to the car i saw them fogged up again, and i felt like smashing them with a hammer right there on the spot. but anyways! yeah, i was wondering if there was any ways of "smoking" the indicator on the factory tails. just like the jdm smoked amber front indicators. i also heard there is a red transparent sray you can get and spray over the orange part of the light (making it an all red tail light except for the reverse). basically im trying to somewhat blend the orange part of the tail light with the rest of it, so it doesnt stick out as much. but cops are strick around my area with indicators being the factory colour, so it must still produce and orange light just not look as orange when not eluminated.
oh yes, and there are those tail lights that everything is the same, but the orange indicator is white instead... just wondering if this style of light is a cheapo and will fog up like the shit i have now or is it like an oem quality part?

shit, sorry for babaling on so much. and thanks in advance for your responses.

Some altezza light makers just plain suck. sounds like you got one of those makers. chase the seller for a replacement, whether you got them from a store, or eBay...

they have tail light smoke paint on eBay, about $10.00 a can. you can also use a transparent red paint, made for models...it's pretty hard to get a clean finish with that paint, though...i've done that to my tail lights, it's good, but not great.

good luck.
