Default b18... a1 or b1

ok, so as of right now i have the b18b1 long block but the "new" built head that was basicly given to me is a b18a1. Is there any differnce in the wiring or will this be like putting the same head back on it again... thanks

i would think that it would be just like putting the same head on since they are both from b18 motors.. but dont go on what i say i do not have experience with the engines.. just my opinion

the casting of the a1 head is similar to the b1 head, however they are indeed different internally. i don't recall which cam is different, but they are different, whether it is intake or exhaust i'm not sure.

if the a1 head is coming from a 90-93 LS, therefore it is obd-0
