Default help a n00b with his civic, please!

This is such a lame question, but I don't know how to install the front license plate bracket on my 2005 civic. I recently moved from a state that didn't require front plates to a state that does, and I'd rather not pay to have it installed. (I'm lucky i found the bracket that came with car!) Any help anyone can provide would be a huge bonus. Thanks in advance!

I hate front license plate laws....is there already screwholes where the bracket should go?? More than likely your gonna have to screw that bracket on with your license plate. The only other thing i would say to do is find a place to use zipties, dont be such a n00b

There are two holes below the bumper. It looks like one screws the plate assembly into them (i've already attached the plate to the assembly). My biggest question is, which screws should i use, and why are there extra screws and rubber pads that don't seem to have any obvious function? In the kit, there are 4 screws for attaching the plate (already used), two silver bolt/screws with washers, two gold bolt/screws without washers, one black screw, and two silver things which appear to be clip-on receptacles for the bolts.

If my assumption that clip-on things and the silver bolts are used for the bottom of the assembly is correct, then where should the other bolts, the screw, and the rubber pad go? I guess I'm worried that if I don't use them, the assembly won't be secure.

That would annoy the shit out of me.

I'm in the same boat...just moved to Illinois and am procrastinating big time when it comes to that damn thing.
