Default engine types

what is the difference between the the d16 and the b16. which one is better and why. and which one is better to turbo charge.

if anybody know help me out

d16 - sohc 125hp
b16 - dohc 160hp

neither is good to turbo since honda's have floating cylinders...but if i had to pick one probably the b16.

What do you mean by floating cylinders? Can't find anything on the net.

What he means is that the coolant passages flow completely to the top of the block and the tops of the cylinders aren't anchored as a closed deck design would be. This is remedied by either putting a block guard in or having sleeves installed that close the deck off, but still allow coolant to flow via channels or holes.

This is such a noob question, if anyone ever bothers to do a search to look up info they will see a big difference. The biggest difference is one is SOHC (D16) and the other is DOCH (B16)
