Default Nitrous

A friend of mine is selling a Zex Dry Nitrous Kit (used), and i am thinking about buying it. Eventually, down the road with the B18, i want to run a 50 shot + turbo.. so i was thinking why not get the nitrous kit now and use it on the D15B7? It has ~140,000 miles on it and runs healthy with the exception of I need to adjust the valves (they make a tick tick tick tick at idle). It has 50, 100, 150, 200 jets and i (obviously) would only be using the 50.. until it came time to swap the B in, in which case i would probably run a 200 shot thru 1st gear and see what happens

I have a D15B7 [93 civic lx], how does this motor handle dry nitrous? Does it have the capabilities to dump enough fuel in? Should I worry about injectors or anything? If i need to modify the D in any way, I won't be doing it.

as long as you run colder plugs I dont see a problem with the 50 shot....as far as running the nitrous shot with turbo, I would rec. using the nitrous to cool the intercooler, not runnin it direct shot...thats alot of tuning.

juss be really cautious, and don't push it too hard. as b16 said, that's a lot of tuning. as far as the d15b7, mine used to have like a 150 shot of spray (previous owner was a dumbass) and it handled it well. had 142,000 mi on it when i bought it, and it runs great. juss be careful w/ it

Be careful. Nitrous is fun but don't get trigger happy with it. I know from experience. And my D motor only had 50k on it. Get some colder plugs, retard the timing, maybe consider some fuel system upgrades and you should be alright. 140k seems a little high though. But hey...it is a Honda. Good luck.

Yeah, but dry takes 2 seconds to hook up.
