Default cam gear install

Quick question:

Is it easier to install aftermarket cam gears after the new cams are bolted into the head, or would it be easier to attach the gears to the cams and put the whole cam/gear deely in together?

I've done both and didn't find either method easier or more difficult than the other.

Yeah, I've put mine in together before, but the writeup on c-speedracing says to put the cams in first, and then the gears. Made me

Aslong as everything is all matched up I don't see what the big deal would be.

I put them on first. Just remember to put the seals on the cams as well if you put the gears on first. h:

Once I have the cams bolted in, I put a piece of wood or rubber between the gears so I can torque them without them spinning - something that won't shed a bunch of crap in your 'special places' :reechy:
