Default Heater circuit malfunction - code 41

I got this during the code readout and was just double checking to see if replacing the Primary O2 sensor is the thing to do?

Thanks

even if it isnt the O2 sensor you should look into buyin one due to the fact most cars could use one...my car is a 92 and it had the original i beleive and i changed it and it made a huge diffrence

Well im looking at the Autozone Bosh Universal O2 Sensor thats goin for 60$.

If anyone has bought this one, do I need an adaptor for it since its a Universal Fitting?

There is also a Bosh OEM O2 Sensor for 150$.

Would there be much diffrence in that vs the universal in terms of what it is supposed to do excluding the plugging factors?

On their website they sell both front and rear O2 sensors. I only know the one thats in the back of the engine. Where is this front O2 sensor?

BTW.. their cheapest O2 sensor for my year 98 is $46.

The primary O2 sensor is pre-cat, whereas the secondary O2 sensor is post-cat.

If a new O2 sensor doesn't get rid of the code, you need to check the wiring for shorts or opens.

I take it this code does refer to the Primary O2 sensor not the secondary?
