Replace your cap & rotor and spark plug wires. Use OEM cap & rotor and NGK Blue Plug Wires.

Did you also wrap the connectors that are near the distributor? The tach is driven by a wire connected to one of the connectors. The connectors are also wired to the sensors within the distributor assembly. Maybe disconnect them and check if any fluid got in there. Leave them disconnected to perhaps dry them out. Good luck.
