how much are swaps now?
just wondering how much gs-r swaps go for now. Been out of the honda game for about 4 years now. 
Trying to figure out if I can get more for my car by parting it out or selling it outright. Hate to do it to her, but I can't see a good gs-r engine waste away for daily commuting.

the prices have gone back up, gsr parts are getting really hard to find now. The blocks, cranks and tranny especially. (thats 98 and up though). If you are gonna part out a good engine in pieces let me know by pm, I will buy lots of it. I need the block and tranny complete. (and stock)

if you get a d15z1 (vx) do yourself a favor and get a Si/EX tranny. The VX/CX tranny is the most horridly slow-ass useless transmission on the planet. I know its just for commuting, but the thing wont even drive uphill.

the going rate from a reputable vendor is still around $3200 give or take, but private prices are considerably lower. I got my swap for $1200 (b16).
