what are the best headers i can get

Really between all aftermarket headers there is maybe a 1-5hp difference. If you can feel 1-5hp difference then I want to smoke what you are smoking.

save your money.

build the suspension/wheels/brakes up and then swap in a better engine

Alright, lets assume that's true. There's a max of 5 horsepower difference between the best and the worst header.


Well, when you're gaining 5 hp with that worst header, that means the best header makes double the power of the worst.

ya but that just sounds like it a whole lot better, but is it $300 better? How much more whp can you get out of a SPOOn or MUGEN or TODA header over this ebay header that made almost 8whp alone on a crappy 15 year old b16.

I don't know why people are saying fitment is bad because it fits EXACTLY like the OEM one, uses the same mounts and O2 bung position. The T-304 stainless looks really trick with all the "blueing" from the heat. Its a great part for such a low low price It just doesn't make any sense to spend more for maybe, maybe, a couple more horsepower?

Also as for the design of the header, how do you think they make it? They take the real deal and make exact copies, same runner length, volume, diamater and collector. take the name off and sell them for a fraction of the price.

A lot. A high quality header like a SMSP makes 10 peak horsepower more than a unit like a DC Sports, and the DC sports will be making 3-5 more horsepower over an ebay special.

They may be exact copies on the outside, but they aren't built by the same welders and their collectors are total shit.

not only that, but smsp and similar custom headers will give you a much broader powerband. usuable power and tq.

if you really want to spend a bunch of money for bolt ons to a d15 than by defenition I already think you are a bit whacked out of your head.......D series are worthless as N/A motors.....I am sure a few of you can name of like 5 people whoopty do that have bad ass D series motors...lets see the receipts for all the shit cause it aint cheap...........D + turbo = less of a waste of money than a 300 dollar header on a d series / :rant:
