thats what I did, and look at me! I've got a civic that hasn't been touched for 3 months hiding in the weeds outside my house :thumbup:

You mean "another" civic, right? Disconnect your "backup" fuse so that it starts the first time you need it. The ECU/radio memory can easily kill your battery in that amount of time.
