Default z6 and y8

Does the D16z6 and the D16y8 use interchangable camshafts? Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

I don't think so. There's something about the cam gear and its size and attachment to the cam that is different from what I've heard. It's all Internet rumors though so don't take my word for it...

you can try and call a company, like crower. I sent them a letter when i first got my prelude and told them i wanted aftermarket cams for it. They said they didnt make them but he said something about takin my original camshafts and do work to them. I never saved the letter but i remembered him explaining to me about what they can do.

Your engine is SOHC, therefore it is a singular cam. h:

Crower
Stage1: http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?sto...r=CRN-252-0010
Stage2: http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?sto...r=CRN-252-0012
Stage1 (Street): http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?stocknumber=CRO-63441Y
Stage2 (FI): http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?sto...er=CRO-63441YT
Stage2 (Street/Strip): http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?stocknumber=CRO-63442Y
Stage1 (Racing): http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?sto...S2-305-05-0120

And that's just at one store. What all have you done to the motor that makes you want to upgrade the cam?
