Default freeking civic AC problem, STILL!!!

Ok so we took my Fiancees 93 LX to a buddies shop to have him fix the AC. New comperessor, fine. Worked for 3 days, then nothing. Another comperessor, nothing, evap, condensor, evap, expansion valve, ALL NEW LINES, still NADA!!! It works a little, but not likle it should. My friend is an accomplished mechanic who spent the better part of 3 work days replacing and/or cleaning everything in the system. His district troubleshooter/trainer heard what year/model it was and told him he was on his own. So what's the secret with these?? HELP, I have to live with a woman who has no AC in 90+ heat. She no happy = me no happy. Thanks all.

I went with a buddy of mine to this AC shop to see about getting it installed in his eg hatch. he has the stock D16Y8 and they said that they would have to adjust the idle to like 1200 cuz the engine wasn't strong enough to handle the power consumption. I dunno cuz I have ac and the same engine. Anyone heard of this?

In case like this I would take to the dealer. It might be more expensive but it worth to have a happy woman in house. She happy=you happy. Also, non-dealer mechanics are known to make unnecessary replacements which take extra money out of your pocket.

Or look for a small shop that only deals in Hondas. That is what I do. All of your issues don't sound like they should even be issues. I'm no expert, just using some common sense.
