Default did this cause my smoke?

Car smokes @ high RMPs. also sprays soot (almost appears to be oil) @ idle and all RPMs. i need to know how to check the codes on my '94 del sol. i've never learned. if anyone can tell me, i'd appreciate it.

Default did this cause my smoke?

hey guys, i just ran my codes and here's what i got.

7 - TPS Sensor
41 - Primary O2 Sensor Heater

I know my tps is bad, my rpms used to jump really bad @ idol until the motor warmed up, but i changed it. i'm not worried about that. could my Primary O2 be the cause for the soot @ idle, and smoke @ high rpms? i recently changed out my Catolytic converter... any connection bewtween all this stuff?

A bad O2 will cause soot because it's unburned fuel. The ECU sees the car as running really lean because there is no O2 signal so it richens up the air/fuel mixture to compensate. Fixing the O2 problem will both fix your smoking problem and give you better gas mileage.
