Default speed odometer problem: need help asap

i have a 95 del sol si, and when i press the gas or punch it, the odmeter speed stick doesn't respond to my actual speed, it freezes or skids around. For example when i'm going really 60mph, it says i'm going 45, and then when i make a turn i'm going 5mph tops and it says i'm going 40mph, it freezes up or the speed skips or jumps up and down. Need help asap, does any1 know how to fix this problem

Might be your vehicle speed sensor, mine did that once because it was a little loose.
