Hey all,
First off I did use the search function, with no luck. My GF has a 2000 Civic which for the most part is a great little car for her. Yesterday, out of the blue, the shifter (auto trans) got stuck in Park. Can't push the button to move it, down into drive, Nuetral, ect. I took the plastic off and it is the actual rod itself that is jammed.
Is this a common prob?
How can i fix this for her?
I looked at her haynes manual last night and couldn't find an exploded veiw or anything about the shifter itself?

If you press the manual shift lock release will the thing shift? You know, remove that little tiny cover and press the button then try to shift.
