If it is water getting into your engine, get the problem fixed ASAP before permanent damage takes place.
no , i mean the light is off now so when i check it will it activate it? i gotta get an inspection this weekend so i dont wanna fail. also, i have a short ram air intake so i doubt im getting water in my engine. once after hitting a VERY deep puddle i pulled over to check the filter and it was still dry so im assuming that any moisutre getting into my intake is on the molecular level, and its not exclusively when it rains per say (although when its humid the air is more charged with moisture and it is more likely to rain) just when the humidity is extreme.

Jumping the plug will turn on the CEL for you to read the codes. It will spit out all the codes and then repeat itself. Your best bet is to see what codes you have stored and start looking from there. That should give you a good place to start looking for a problem.
