Default Engine Swap

Hey i had a question for you guys out there. Im new to the import thing and right now I have A 1998 honda civic ex with a cold air intake and magno flow cat back. Im looking for some more horse power that I can use on a dialy bases as a daily driver, and that wouldnt mess up anything. I was thinking about an engine swap and tranny swap? maybe to a low miliage si engine only because it would be easy to get a smog certificate And to make legal and I wouldnt have to deal with to many after market parts IM real serious about this so if you guys had any ideas or suggestion I would appriciate it.. Im also in the miami area If you guys know where to get this done that would really help to thanks alot

if you are gonna swap you might as well go b18c1. more hp, easy to find, not insanely hard or expensive imho

sounds like you want an LS motor. no vtec but awsome for driving around town you have power in every gear, good gas mileage, very reliable, rather inexpensive, and very easy to find motor and replacment parts

If you buy the complete swap all you need is a shift linkange and maybe motor mounts. The pros are a lot of power, the cons is it cost $$$

b16a..most overrated fanboy peice of shit motor ever....I have one..I know.....for the extra few bucks the b18c blows it out of the water...and as long as it is from the same year or newer, you should have no prob registering it or passing smog with a USDM ecu.
