k24 in ek9
i have a 98 ek9 and i can get a deal on a k24 5spd out of a honda element with only 1500 miles. is it a good engine? will it run better than a b16a1 becuase its between those two motors dont know which one i want yet

i havent seen that motor go into a civic other than the k20 out of the RSX or DC5 ITR. i dont really know about that swap though. i woudnt do a b16a1 into your civic because thats an older motor and ive heard that its illegal to put an older motor into a new car, go with the b16a2.

why would it be illegal to put a older motor in your car?? at least i dont think it is in michigan. i meant to say b16a2 or b16b. are k24 obd-2?

been there done that
my friend was going to swap a k24 out of the tsx into his 97 hatch. but the costs made him think twice. :uhhok:
if you want to do this swap, prepare to spend $7-8k just on parts. labor, tuning, more mods, is going to run even more.
