Default Vtec-E head on a d15

Tomorrow I am finally putting a clutch in my saturn that means my civic will once again be what I bought it for, a toy!. Anyway, any suggestions on this head swap. My d15 is bored, its about 101ci block. Anything like a unknown trick that people may know to get this head swap right the first time in the influence of power? Thanks.

your english confuses me. I assume you're talking about the d15z1 head, in which case, it sucks. Built for fuel economy, itty bitty ports, weaksauce cam, lame, lame, lame. Get a z6 head.

im sorry. the d15b1. pow stock 70 hp at 5500 rpm, heheh, not mine tho. still the same head tho. slight mods to it. but also for me to swap out the head only takes a hour or 2 anyway and I have the vtec-e head. Just need to reseat it. I am thinking of doing some of the things i did to my last silly engine, my 88 teg head. Port guide cutting, port and hone intake intake ports, and shoeshine the exhaust ports. etc..

once again, your english confuses me. What head do you have on there now? I think a dx head would yield more than a vx head (z1), if thats what you're asking. If you want non-crappy vtec, the d16z6 head is the one you want.

ok, I gotcha. Yes, a d15z1 head is better than the 8-valve head.
