Default low idle

i have a 95 civic ex..just recently i have started having problems wtih my idle running low when my engine is warmed up.it is fine as long as i am driving but when i stop at traffic lights when i slow down it surges to 1200 rpm and then starts dropping as i stop. my idle drops real low like my car is gonna die but it never does...i checked my vacum hoses for leaks, changed my pcv valve and fuel filter,but the problem presists..any help would be appreciated....

theres an idle control screw thing on the throttle plate if im not mistaken? try around with that, someone else might be able to comment more on this?

Yea, try the idle valve for the low idle. About the surging it could be a few things.

try cleaning the your IACV. You can Also do what "aliasneo" and adjust the screw on the throttle body

Also check to see if there's any air in your coolant system. Open it up and let it run for like 3 minutes and it there's any air it'll burp it out.

dont overlook the simple stuff like air filter, spark plugs and fluids. u know routine maintenance.

this is the first time i have had to work on my own car i know a little but not much..i have been trying to locate the iac valve but i can't find it..and i have had most of the basic upkeep done...

i think the idle control valve is inside TB, so take air hose out and it should be there? on the throttle plate?
