Default suspension techniques vs. comptech

I've recently purchased the suspension techniques sway/tie bar combo and I was wondering if the setup is the same as the comptech version. Also, will I still need to get the subframe reinforcement kit?

Thanks
Josh

Yes, the reinforcement kit is always a great idea if you don't want subframe tearout.

The suspension techniques bar is probably identical to the comptech swaybar in thickness, but the tie bar that comptech includes is the best reinforcement you can get.

That's funny that you say that. I just took a big look at both kits and the tie bars are pretty much the same and come between the tie bar mount and the subframe. The only real difference is the adjustability of the ST tie bar. I keep hearing that a reinforcement isn't need for the comptech, but if that's the case, why would it be needed for the ST kit?

If this is what you have then NO you don't need a reinforcement kit.

The comptech doesn't need reinforcement because it comes with the tie bar that reinforces the chassis. I assume that the suspension techniques bar that you purchased was just the bar and it WILL rip out if you don't reinforce the weak subframe.
