Default I know this is rediculous, but look!!!

I know this is a silly question but flanges are used for welding right??? I just want to know how you get the turbo to seal to the manifold/downpipe...along with the BOV to the charge pipe, and the wastegate to the manifold!!! are there gaskets you get or special stuff to put on them to seal or do they just seal???
can anybody help???

Turbo is bolted with a gasket and some bov's are welded, some bolted with gaskets I think.

Most parts use gaskets, otherwise you'd never be able to get them out without a grinder.

It is all with either metal or plastic gaskets depending on where it is. The BOV flange is welded and then the BOV has a plastic gasket to keep it sealed. Anything around the turbo/downpipe uses a metal gasket to seal. They don't seal with anything, just the material they are made of.
