Default Have $6K to spend on engine swap, help me out!

Aight yall, finally got $6,000 saved up to do my engine swap, etc. Got an auto. so I'm getting it converted to manual while I'm at it. Two engines I'm debating on, the b16a or the b18c1. Plan on boosting later on when I've built the internals, etc. a little so looking for the best engine for that. My plans are to get the engine, build the internals, maybe upgrade IM and stuff like that and then later on after I save up get a turbo running 10-12 psi. So now that ya got a basic idea on my plans, help me out please. Which engine, which parts, etc. Thanks yall!

$6k?

Ever consider something other then a Civic? With that much money, perhaps you should start with a more performance oriented chassis then an automatic Civic.

Just something to think about.

Would if i hadn't already gotten it repainted, wheels, lowered, system, HIDs, and the other hundred mods I have. Little late to start over with a new car.

If you have the money, a B18C is much better in every respect than the B16. It is probably the best all around motor Honda has ever built and has the most potential, whichever route you choose.

If you choose B16 though you will have more money to play around with

I guess it would depend on which engine will take to boost better. That would be the B16 IMO.

Kai's probably right though. I know how much you must want to stick with your Civic, because I'm pretty attached to mine. But I've come to realize that the money I'm saving up would be a lot better spent on a different platform; one that is engineered by professionals to be a performer. And I can keep my EJ as a beater/daily driver.

Just a thought...

Thanks for the advice yall but i didn't ask yall if my money could be spent better elsewhere, asked which engine yall think would take to boost better and how to prepare for it in parts. Appreciate the thought but please stick to the purpose of the thread. Not trying to be a jerk or anything.

B18B would be a cheap swap, then you could use the rest for boost.

I would go that route also.

I'd go B16A or B18C for N/A buildups with 6k.
