Default Shifting problem

Hi,

I have a 2000 civic automatic. lately, it had problem shifting. when shifting from Park to Reverse or Drive to Reverse the lever kind of stuck in between. it won't move the Reverse. i have to push it really hard to get it in Reverse anyone know what the problem is? all other positions is good. tranmission runs good. even if i don't want to put it in reverse, i shift it to drive. it just stuck between Park and Reverse. i had to use force to get it down to drive. any help/info would be appreciated.

thanks.

You might have some gunk on the shifter cable, take off the console and take a look at it.
