if u decide to go ls/vtec, the b16 and b18c5 heads do not raise the compression ration, but the b18c1 head does. and when u do do it, make sure you have the head milled and the block checked to make sure there nice and flat, dont want warped serices against each other.

with the c1 head, youll have roughly 10:1 compression. if you wanna lower, you could stack two headgaskets, or, what i would do, put in 8.8:1 compression psitons and it will help leve lit out and buy some rods so u can run the piss out of it with boost.

the b16 cc on the combustion chamber is smaller than the ls or b20, so it would raise the compression, but you dont want just a little bump in compression to really make power. 10:1 is nothing in the all motor world, you need to see atleast 11.5:1 in-order to really get what your cam is worth.
