'98 Civic Speedo (new info)

- the check engine light did come on briefly over the weekend, then went out and did not turn on again. Speedo is same as below...
The speedo in my 1998 Civic LX (manual 5 spd, 55,000 mi.) is acting up. When I start the car, in neutral the needle jumps to 15 mph and then when the car starts to move, the needle fluctuates +/- 3 mph. After the car runs for about 5 - 10 minutes, the speedo works normally. Check engine light is off, and the car otherwise runs normally. Any ideas? (First post - great website!!)
