I have a D16Y8 and i am planning on getting a greddy(bolt on ki for 00 civic turbo kit for it.But first, I was wondering what the potential is for this turbo kit(after intercooler,tuning,BOV,wastegate, etc..) basically can i get 230WHP out of it???
also,i have 120g miles on the civic, what new internals do i need to make the engine last a long time and to be able to get the boost i want for 200+whp safely???

No, you cannot get 230whp out of it. Well, you could but it would cost tons of money and require tons of mods to handle the boost.

Why are you looking at the Greddy kit? If you don't have to deal with smog, you should piece a more potent kit together that would give you as much power at a lower boost level with less modifications.

 

what he said... greddy kits usually dont make too much power... if youre looking for better pre-fab kits... look for Drag and Revhard... they have better potential... cause of their bigger turbos... later mike

Nah, Piece together your own kit. You'll get more power and you'll be able to pick what YOU want, not what Greddy thinks you should have.

WTF? Check out turbod16.com, there are people who have pulled 250+ whp out of the lil Greddy 15g. I got 210 easily out of it at 12 psi, not even with a front mount! Don't underestimate it.
