My sunroof was leaking in my '90 Acura Legend. I blew out the drain holes with air compressor to clear the drain. In checking if this corrected the problem I poured water (approx 1/2 gal) in the holes and in one of the holes the water drained as expected and in the other hole - the water never drained. Where did the water go and is it possible that it went into the motor and sunroof mechanism? Is it possible that the water would be causing a limited short to the motor and putting excess drain on the alternator causing it to wear the brushes excessively (approx 175,000 miles on the vehicle with original alternator)? Need answers.
