Default axle seal keeps breaking, just rebuilt transmission, please help!!

ok, heres whats going on. i blew my differential in my 91 honda crx si on the way from indiana to maryland. so i fexed the differential and put it back in the car and it drives fine, everything is normal except when i and using the engine to slow down it makes a sound like your sawing wood. also the pasenger side axle leakes very fast and what it is is the axle has a little play and breakes the seal when it is driven. it dosent make any sence because it fits snug and if it didnt fit the differential wouldnt allow the car to move. please help, i have no idea why the seal keeps breaking??
