Default Octane Boost Additive Causing check engine Light???

I have a '92 EX. I recently poured a bottle of Octane Boost into my tank to address a slight pinging problem and today, with the temps over 80 the check Engine Light came on for the first time. Also, the temp was running pretty hot on the highway. Could the additive be the culprit? And if so, did I do harm, and how can I correct?

Check the code and see what it is...

Then you can figure out why it went off and if it relates to the octane booster.

Yeah, check the code - cause my check engine light came on because the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) was sending confusing signals. My speedo would rev up to 40 mph while i was sitting at the stoplight.
