What's the difference between the S20 and S40 transmissions? I have a 96 Civic EX with the S40 transmission. It has a nasty 3rd gear grind. I've seen some auctions for delSol tranny's that are S20's.

The big question is: what's the difference, and would an S20 work in a 96 Civic EX with an S40? The next question is if the S40 is significantly better than the S20?
