I just got an apexi n1 muffler with 2.25" custom piping without the res. The exhaust note is low as hell! its not loud at all!? I was thinking of taking the packing out of the muffler but didnt know if that would make a difference?

please, leave it to the low sound that is nice & clean sounding ..

i'm so sick of hearing the noise that comes from the ass of some of the local ricers in my area. personally i like a good lookin car that u can barly hear. Mine used to be a bumble bee & i couldn't take it anymore.. i've since put an ES oval on there & the only thing i hear is my blow off valve! It's so nice not to have every cop in the world follow me when they hear the old fart can!

 

Get a testpipe.

and whats wrong with a quiet car? i dont step on it much anymore bc my exhaust gets loud at WOT and i dont want to: wake up neighbors, get attention from cops, look like im trying to show off, attract street racers.

2.5" pipe, no res. (or cat), and a flowmaster - deeper than a lot of trucks but I like it.
