Tyre Pressures
Hi,
I'm new to Honda-Acura.net so apologise if this question has been answered before.
I have replaced my 14" wheels (with 185x60x14 tyres) with 17" wheels and 205x40x17 tyres. What tyre pressures should I be running for normal road driving?
Cheers, Tony

If 15s I'm supposed to use 35-38psi. You want to increase it by 1-2psi for every 1" you go up. So for 17s it's +2 then you add 2-4psi over stock.

Depends on wether you are looking for that slight harder or softer ride and also if you are willing to sacrifice a lil extra tire wear. Around 40 psi plus or minus a few for a harder ride, around 30 or a lil more for a softer ride. I forgot which causes a slighty faster wear but i guess it's all about that sidewall flexing because that's what absorbs majority of the road condition. Being 40 series tires though, i don't think it really matters cause you don't have that much sidewall...around 40 psi is the ideal pressure you should have in your tires....
Also more pressure will protect your tires and increase MPG.
