Default Paint question!

Ok, my car needs some paint and body work. anybody got any web sites oir tips about painting over the bad spots that have peeled off. I need to try to do this cheap and easy, b/c i wanna use my money on my engine.

if you want to paint your car... you have to sand off the old paint and primer...when you paint for ex. the door panel you have to do the whole thing from one edge to another edge so it doesn't look like crap.. use a sprayer.. all the work is in the prep.. painting is the easy part... oh and bondo any holes in the car or rust and then primer over the patches

36 grit sand paper too! :thumbup:

please get info from a pro.. ^^ sounds like the most half assed job ever!

heres a better idea... bondo the holes and primer your whole car.. and pay $200 for someone to paint the outside of the car, if its the same color as it was before then it will be easy and you wont have to do the door jams etc... this idea is a winner oh ya and you have to sand the primer too then have them paint it.. but ya get the info from a pro.. and do it right

You don't have to primer the whole car when you're painting. You only have to primer over the bondo.
