Default help..

im about to buy a gsr engine, and have someone install iton my eg...

what are the things i need to check and replace in the engine before they put it in the car.. i mean, like the water pump, i read somewhere that i have to replace it...

can someone post pics of the things i need to check and replace if they are broken or missing, like the sensors and stuff and pics of the things i need for the swap....

i need help..

there is this guy in the place for the swap, telling me i have to replace the fuel tank..
thets what he told me, i asked why.. he said, "supposing your car is a hatchback, we have to replace the gas tank.." after that he said something bout carb.... i dunno what that means, carburated? is there a carburated eg?

by the way.. this is in the philippines...

u dont have to replace the gas tank... that guy is a douche.... take it to another place

when u get the engine, i would suggest new clutch/fly combo... they are used engines, u cant really be too sure if the fly/clutch combo was broken in properly *300-500miles* water pump, dizzy, plugs/sparks....sure there is more i cant think of any right now though... ill edit as soon as i remember

I would do timing belt timing belt tensioner, water pump, check the dizzy, spark plugs, plug wires.

oh...also I replaced all heater hoses and vaccum lines while the engine was out, along with PCV valve. oh..and thermostat isnt a bad idea either

dude, you were thorough i think on all my swaps i half-assed it looking at what you replaced i think all i did was the belts, dizzy, clutch/fly, spark/plugs wires, water pump, and i think thats it....

then again most of that stuff looked good but figured might as well

well I had about two weeks with the motor just sittin in my garage on my work bench....so I got bored and started replacing every damn thing I could find that wasnt brand new....h:

Based on that,you prob should do more research b4 you bought your swap.
