Ok, well I put 3 quarts of 5w30 in the fill cap on the valve cover. I let it run for like 5 minutes and turned the car off, checked the dip stick, and theres barely any oil on it when I check it. Is it because I need more or what? The car is running fine, the oil lights not on, its not heating up, and no odd noises.

 

i usually put 4 and half to 5 quarts of oil in my LS

 

I got an extra quart in the driveway, should I throw it in?

well if its low that means it needs some so i dont think it will hurt it. Do you have any oil leaks?
