not sure if this applies to 98 but im like 90% sure
if you have a factory alarm the brain is in the head unit
so if you remove it your factory alarm will not work
so you gotta somehow keep the factory unit behind the new head unit if you are installing a new one

its like that in 96, but i am pretty sure they moved it to a different location in 97 or 98. not positive tho. if so, you have to hide your deck in front of the shifter(where the tape deck is/was)

this only applies to keyless entry models between 96-98, usually EX models. keep in mind also that your domelight will no longer work unless you connect the light green/red to light green/blk wires in the green plug. :thumbup:
