Default Exhaust question...

Ok im getting to the point where I need to get rid of this previus owner POS muffler and get something better on there. My question is.....are there any significant draw backs to having an custom exhaust made over buying a cat back system? It seems that going custom is cheapest, but are there quality issues?

:werd: if it were me i would just buy a whole catback, how much can you possibly save? 100 bucks at the most? the apexi WS is only about 380ish and a quality custom cat-back would range from about 200-300 anyways.

I got my exhaust and the piping done for $200. Sounds amazing increased my top-end noticeably. I didn't get as much torque because i got 2 1/2 inch piping to go turbo in the future. So i saved around 200 bucks just for having it done. The apexi WS exhaust is really quiet though and looks nice. Oh and that 200 was including a ractive high performance muffle.

as long as the pipes are mandrel bent it doesnt matter if you go custom or off the shelf.
