Thanks Shmoo. So, what brands? I was going to go either Eibach or Neuspeed. I don't want to spend over like 300$ (I ebay store all my performance stuff)
Like I said before, I helped my buddy put a set of AGX shocks mated with Neuspeed sports on this past weekend and I instantly fell in love with it. The ride was so incredibly smooth and the ride height was perfect for the crappy OC roads. Neuspeed are some of the cheapest springs out there (got my Neuspeed Race springs for $125 shipped off ebay).
You should probably invest in some aftermarket shocks too. If you are on a budget, get a pair of AGX GR-2 non adjustable. They will handle the extra stress of the lowering much better than the stock ones.
And ebay is the only way to go. I bought virtually everything for my car off ebay (including the Greddy turbo kit) minus the Comptech swaybar and Skunk 2 front camber kit.
$650 isn't inexpensive. I guess it is all relative like you said. h:
They do look damn nice. Do you have them on your ride?
I would if they made them for my suby, but they dont if/when I rebuild the civic it will more than likely have the omni coils....I have three buddies that have them and they have nothing but praise.
Ive got a similar problem. Ive got a stock 97 civic but im definitely gonna mod it with the engine swap and all the bells and whistles. I wanna put 17s on it eventually so if I were to get separate springs and shocks how low should I go?

Depends on how the crappy the roads are around you. And whether or not you would mind taking speedbumps and steep driveways sideways.
