Default part identification

I have a quick question for everybody

a buddy of mine wrecked his car and needs to replace a certain part found in the first picture courtesy of this Ingalls camber kit install

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...ilover+picture

Its the arm right in front of the coilover sleeve and spring and attaches to the upper control arm. It connects the UCA to the axle itself. It has the perch with the castle nut and cotter pin.(If you need more specifics, let me know)

I've looked in a Hayes manual and it doesnt say what that part is called which is where I need your help. What is that part called so we can order?

Thanks!!

The upper ball joint? You'll need to buy the whole upper control arm assembly.

As far as I know you can't get just an upper ball joint. Even if you could, it's probably such a pain in the ass to change, I've only just changed the arm. Just shell out the 100$ or so and get a new arm.

Honda says you can't replace just the balljoint on the OEM UCA's. You have to replace the whole UCA. Since they're about $100 each for the stock ones, why not spring for the Omnipower adjustable UCA's with a replacable balljoint? They're cheaper than OEM and give you camber correction capabilities. (if that is in fact what you are referring to)

we already replaced the upper control arm with a new ball joint already attached with OE( he doesnt have a lot of money right now

its the arm that the UCA attaches to.....the UCA has the ball joint and that ball joint connects to 'the arm' with a castle nut

i'm looking for that 'arm' that the ball joint attaches to

hope this helps a lil bit

That arm is part of the hub assembly. I don't think you can just replace that arm but rather the hub assembly as a whole.

you can get just the knuckle alone, would cost the same as a full knuckle assembly from the junk yard... save yourself the work.... :slap: up to you....

The whole knuckle/hub assembly should be pretty cheap from a boneyard. :dunno:
