Thinking about getting an aftermarket radiator because I living in TX and driving how I do makes your engine a little hot. Thinking about KOYO. Do you guys have any prefrences or horror stories?

im runnin a full radiator upgrade, meaning fluidyne aluminum radiator, spoon, thermostat, spoon cap, spoon fan switch, fal fan, and upgraded hoses. its a bit overkill but keeps the engine very kewl, round 150-170 degrees most of the time.

koyo is a very good radiator, i heard good stuff bout em. u can save money and get a stock del sol dual core radiator as well. upgrade the cap if ur at it and flush and refill the system and you should be good.

 

I think he has a 2004 civic...dunno if the del slo dual core would fit....?

 

ahh didnt catch that. hmm in that case, leave ur stock radiator alone it should be fine. just get a new rad cap.

aren't all engine bays the same thing? They all have an engine, transmission, some fluids, and usually a battery, right? I test fit my friends del sol radiator to mine and they have completely different mounting spots. It could work with a little modification, but I don't feel like doing that right now. Probably go with koyo and new hoses.

 

The radiators are totally different. If you worried about cooling just buy a set of spal slim-line cooling fans. They are half the depth of the stock fans and cool way better.

 

I dunno then, i had Integra radiators on both of my civics, they fit fine with little modifications....just have to make it fit h: good luck to ya though

 

I suggest a delsol dualcore if it'll fit.

don't go Koyo if you plan on going FI later on , that was my mistake :/
