Lately I noticed that my brothers 97 EX has been making a loud noise when its idling. I removed the AC belt and the noise went away, so Im thinking its the AC Compressor. Is there a bearing that can be replaced in the AC Compressor or could it be something else? Thanks alot.

 

Im not sure if the bearing is replaceable. I had the same problem with my last car 92 vti hatch. The noise got so bad I had to hack the belt off at a service station. I happen to have a Japanese parts list book from Honda. It has no part number for a bearing, only the entire compressor.
