well you could just get some mandrel bends of 3 in pipe and weld them, then powder coat them or you could just get a vatozone or ebay cheapy and a nice filter

I got my eBay Cold Air intake brand new off ebay for $34 shipped with a filter. It's a 2-piece with all couplers, hoses and clamps. Flows great, sounds great, fixed my -throttle body got 24mm bigger when I swapped in a D15b7- problem. The filter might be crap, but it will get you by until you can afford the K&N that costs twice as much as the whole ebay intake.

Making your own intake would cost more than 4x that if you could steal half of the supplies and borrow a TIG welder.

Here it is... it was $36. My bad. Not $34. This intake is probably the only "performance" mod on this car. Look how good the fit is where it goes through the airbox hole. Even bolts down with a grommet to absorb shock without breaking anything.

PS: Sorry guys. I'm sure there are a bunch of old-skewlers that are tired of seeing this car by now. No, it doesn't look this good anymore. It needs work. I've been busy. But since it's time for a valve adjustment, I'm going to polish it up again once I get the GSX back from the body shop.
