Default what does boosting most effect?

hey guys. quick question. what does boost/turbo most effect, hp, or torque? or both the same. the reason being, stock hondas generally arent really quick cars. if one were to boost it, would that bring the torque right up with the hp? thanks.

uhhh well thats gonna depend on the setup(what turbo, engine size, how much boost), but most 4cylnders need a lot of buoost to make to make big torque numbers

Yes, it will bring the torque numbers up.

You will usually NEVER see a torque number higher then a HP number on a Honda, however.

It is dependant on the turbo though. The HKS ( I think) potato-turbo is specially made for lowend torque and almost no highend, and I have actually seen a torque number higher then a HP number on a honda motor with that turbo, but it wasnt all that much worth it due to the fact that it lost so much high end.

the RS*R S2000 is the one im talking about btw

as a broad statement...

supercharger will increase low end power, whereas a turbocharger will increase top end power

if u wanna know why, do your research here..

horsepower is a measure from torque.

A good tune will bring the torque numbers closer to the HP numbers on certain turbos, such as the Greddy kit. The HP doesn't increase much from a good tune but the torque number comes really close to the HP number.
