Default What oil?

i did a quick search and didnt find exactly what i wanted, so im just posting real quick.

in the manual it sayd 5w 30.

i have a 93 dx

is that what i want to put in it?

im just gunna buy regular...non synthetic..
what oil should i put in?

get the cheapest 10w nonsynthetic oil....and try out Neo Synthetic for all the fluids for your S2K. www.bakerprecision.com talks to hung

your engine requires 5w-30, put 5w30 in it. castrol GTX is pretty good, i use it

i agree 5w30. what is 10w 40 for??

its for other vehicles that require heavier weighted oil. stick with 5w30 and u will be fine.

i use 10w30 Mobil 1 synthetic, never had a problem with it...

Try it out and see, but the engineers who designed your engine went to school for years, and know what there doing. In the end, you'll find the oil they say to put in your car works best. As far as damage to your engine, you are pretty safe as long as you keep an eye on it and change it out if it starts acting strange...but you never know until you try it out.

i used to run 10w-30 in my civic in the summer because it is heavier and i thought it would lube better while its hot and in the winter i would use 5w-30 because of the cold weather and it would get up in the head faster since it wasnt as heavy. it never did anything to my motor and it always ran fine, but the honda engineers chose 5w-30 for all seasons so now i only use that.

I use Castrol GTX High Milage. I've always used 10w-30 year-round. I have about 138,000 on my car.
