getting clutch soon
well, im getting my clutch soon, and i was wondering if i should go with a new flywheel that is lighter? so that them both could be replaced at the same time?
im looking into an exedy clutch that is the stock clutch and was 96$ new on ebay, i cant remember what the fly wheel was 181$, dont know the make cause i cant remmeber.
id like to keep the combination under 280 if possible...
any suggestions would be great
thanks

if you are getting a stock clutch, there is really no reason to get a lighter flywheel unless you are going to be doing autocross or something for the throttle response.
With a lighter flywheel you will lose torque but gain throttle response.
I have a ACT Pro-Lite Flywheel and love it, but I do a lot of curvy road driving.

well on a civic, do i really need alot of torque? im not too fimiliar with what torque does on a car, but i do know what it is tho... like will it not be able to pull the car as efficiently? or something like that....
will the light weight flywheel make the engine have more horse power because of less mass to move...?
will the car accelerate alot more quicker then using stock flywheel?

With less mass to move, or stop, the engine will spin down faster, but it has less rotational mass, which will cut down on your torque numbers.
If you dont need the throttle response, you dont need a lightened flywheel.
